Here’s how I made my journey to a successful business take much longer than necessary.

I was lured in and mired by too many of the typical start-your-own-business programs that promised overnight success.

Everything I was learning from these programs was knowledge and information that was far too general to be of any use for long-term success.

At the time, I needed someone to tell me exactly how to use my talents and skills in a way that would yield money at a decent pace.

As a result of this, I struggled for nearly five whole years.

I tried to do it myself while praying that eventually, I would find some success with an iteration of my business.

A business that would give me the freedom to quit my 9 to 5 office job and actually feel good about it (by that time, my son was already 7).

The downside of the plethora of online business programs is that we might start to think that it is possible to make any business fly if we grind and put in the work.

But, it is NOT true.

The best way to ensure your success is to have a business that offers a service in high demand. A ton of people overlook this!

Usually, this means not selling advice or tips but selling a packaged service (like Facebook™ ads!).

When you sell a service with a defined offer, clear deliverables, and a measurable outcome, people suddenly come to you for your help.

It is truly an incredible feeling.

Leave the advice-selling to the celebrities!
